The War Widows’ Association of Great Britain held their Annual Service of Remembrance and Wreath Laying, at the Cenotaph, Whitehall, London, at 12.30 p.m.
Their wreath consisted of a cross of white chrysanthemums, on which was superimposed a spray of red poppies. It is said that the white chrysanthemum was chosen as the Association’s symbol simply because it was easily available in November.
