ANZAC Day Dawn Service, London, 2022

Posted on by royvickery |

London’s  Annual ANZAC Day Dawn Service was held at Hyde Park Corner on Monday 25 April 2022, starting at 5 a.m.  This year the event focused on, and started at, the New Zealand memorial, later wreaths were also laid at the Australian one.

Although security seemed much more severe than when the event was last visited in 2019, the Service attracted a large number of, mostly young, people.  Many people wore poppies; it was said that 2022 marked the centenary of the first use of red poppies on the Day.
