Blue, pink and white carnations

Posted on by royvickery |

Carnations, Dianthus caryophyllus, coloured with blue, pink and white – the colours of the Transgender Pride Flag – dyes on sale at Igloo Flowers, outside Clapham Junction station, London Borough of Wandsworth, 2 July, the day following London’s Pride Parade.  The chrysanthemums behind the carnations appear to have been similarly, but less successfully, treated.  ‘Rainbow xanths’ (chrysanthemums), dyed the colours of the Gay Pride Flag, were also on sale.
