Collecting the folklore and uses of plants

The Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland (formerly the Botanical Society of the British Isles) will hold its Annual Exhibition Meeting at the Natural History Museum, London, on Saturday 23 November, from 11.00 – 17.00 hours.
The theme of this meeting will be Plants, Publicity, People, and in addition to 25 exhibits there will be a series of short lectures – see for details.
Among the exhibits will be Roy Vickery’s Plant-lore Archive – Towards a Folk Flora.
All are welcome, and participants are advised to use the Museum’s Exhibition Road entrance, which is nearer the exhibition area and less crowded than the main entrance in Cromwell Road; nearest tube station South Kensington (Circle, District and Piccadilly lines).
