Sarah Everard, a 33-year-old marketing executive, was abducted and murdered in south London, on 3 March 2021.  Although the murder did not take place on Clapham Common, in the London Borough of Lambeth, the Common and particularly its bandstand, has become the focus of people wanting to remember her, and reflect on violence against women.
