Laver in Cardiff – 2

Posted on by royvickery |

Dried laver – ‘no added flavours or preservatives, just pure goodness from the sea’ – on sale at the National Assembly for Wales building, Cardiff, March 2017.

Addendum.  The Times of 19 May 2017 reported that Welsh laverbread, along with 12 other ‘uniquely Welsh products’ had been granted special status by the European Commission, meaning that producers from outside Wales cannot use this name.  Thus laverbread has ‘the same status as Champagne and Parma ham’.

Updated 23 May 2017.
