Levellers’ rosemary – 2

Posted on by royvickery |

Sprays of rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) tied with green ribbon, prepared for local Green Party counting agents for the general election count, at Wandsworth Town Hall, from 10 p.m. later today, 8 June 2017.  This continues a tradition started at the 2015 general election, after an elderly Party member explained how seventeenth-century Levellers used such sprays as an emblem.
