Mothering Sunday posies

Posted on by royvickery |

While visiting the church of Lady St Mary in Wareham, Dorset, in May 2018 we noticed two unlabelled photographs of people carrying small posies, mainly of daffodils (Narcissus cv.).     The woman who was acting as welcomer at the church was unable to say when these were taken: were they taken on Mothering Sunday or Palm Sunday?                                    Subsequent correspondence with the Parish Administrator confirmed that they were taken on the former.
