Collecting the folklore and uses of plants

Plant-lore Archive: January 2019

2019 started successfully with a talk to the Leigh-on-sea Horticultural Society after which several people contributed interesting memories.  21 items of information were received from 12 informants during the month, thus the Archive now contains 7890 items from 2353 contributors.

6285 searches were made of the website, up from both the previous month and January 2018.

Work on Vickery’s Folk Flora concentrated on the selection of colour plates, and publicity; publication is still scheduled for 4 April.
