Remember the bombing of Hiroshima

Posted on by royvickery |

6 August 2017 was the 72nd anniversary of dropping of an atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima, the start of an atomic arms race which continues to the present.  As usual an event was held in Tavistock Square, in the London Borough of Camden, and people placed flowers, and paper cranes, at the base of an ornamental cherry [Prunus cv.], planted in 1967 to commemorate the bombing.
