REMINDER: Plant walk on 16 March

Posted on by royvickery |

Saturday 16 March, a Spring Flora on Tooting Common, London Borough of Wandsworth, starting at 2.00 p.m. and continuing for c.75 minutes.  Free, and all welcome; for further information see the Events page on this website.

Report: After a bright and sunny morning the weather became colder and greyer in the afternoon, none the less 12 people gathered and apparently enjoyed 80 minutes wandering around a small part of the Common.  A wide range of early flowers were examined near the carpark before moving off to the former menage area, where broom, Cystisus scoparius, and coltsfoot, Tussilago farfara, were in flower.

‘A really enjoyable afternoon.’
