REMINDER: Summer Wild Flowers, 19 July

Posted on by royvickery |

Report:  Although 22 people had booked, only 16 turned up on a pleasant summer’s evening to enjoy the wild flowers on a small part of the Common.  According to one participant a total of 45 plants were examined and discussed.  It was particularly pleasing to see a thriving clump of harebell, Campanula rotundifolia, one of the Common’s ‘special’ plants.

‘Lovely relaxing walk at the right pace, great company and excellent facilitator.’

We hope that the next event in this series of six walks will be a fungus foray later in the year.
