Worcestershire Wildlife Trust’s Wildlife Fun Day, Saturday 15 June, at Lower Smite Farm, Lower Smite Farm, Smite Hill, Hindlip, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., including Wonderful Weeds walks, led by Roy Vickery, starting at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.  All ages welcome.

Report:  Wet weather probably ensured that less people attended the Fun Day than were anticipated, and inadequate publicity at the event meant that no one turned up for the first walk, and only four for the second.  Soon after this walk started there was a heavy downpour, so after examining some ‘weeds’ at the edge of the car park, some samples were rapidly gathered and discussed around a table in the centre’s cafe.
