St Pancras and parsley – 2

Posted on by royvickery |

Visited the church of Santa Marina, Córdoba, Andalucia, Spain, on 11 August 2021.  The only statue around which people were praying was that of San Pancracio, St Pancras, which was decorated with offerings of flowers and bunches of flat-leaved parsley, Petroselinum crispum.

Although both Old St Pancras church and New St Pancras church in London have been visited, no similar offerings have been seen in either.

Edited 2 September 2021.
