Tree in Rykneld Square, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, planted in memory of Tony Benn (formerly known as Anthony Wedgwood Benn, and from 1960-63 as Viscount Stansgate), who served as the town’s member of parliament from 1984-2001.  Benn (1925-2014) was a left-wing Labour Party M.P., and another left-winger Barbara Castle (1910-2002), who was born in Chesterfield and served as M.P. for Blackburn from 1945-1979, is similarly commemorated.
