Plant-Lore

Collecting the folklore and uses of plants

Using this website

Posted on by royvickery |

Plant-Lore website is attracting a growing number of people who use it when seeking information; some of these people are lucky and find what they want, others fail to find anything of use.
There appear to be two main reasons for failure:
The enquirer does not spell the name of the plant for which they seek information correctly.
The enquiry relates to a plant which is not included on the website. The Plant-lore Archive project is primarly concerned with plants which grow wild, are commonly cultivated, or are used as food, in the British Isles. Plants which do not fall into any of these categories are unlikely to be included.
The website contains just a very small sample of the material contributed to the project. If information is required on other material, please submit a query.
