Advertisements for flowers seem to be rather scarce in 2023, more in keeping with the times is a Morrisons advertisement in Metro, 6 February:  ”It’s time to say those three little words …  Dinner fifteen quid.  Impress for less this Valentine’s with our Dine in Deal for two for £15 …’, or a Waitrose advertisement in the Evening Standard of 10 February: ‘Valentine’s dine in for 2 £20 – starter + main + side + desert + fine wine or cocktail.’
