Well-loved by London pagans

A circle of plane (Platanus hispanica) in Green Park, London, is said to be well-loved by the city’s pagans, who are reported to worship and make offerings there.

In the 1920s a bandstand was erected on the site, and, although it has since been demolished, the trees remain.

There were no signs of any activity either at Hallowe’en or the Winter Solstice 2018, or at any time since.

Photographed October 2018.
