1. Purple moor-grass: referred to as disco grass in Rhayader, Radnor area. When you walk through the tussocks you stagger about and look as if in a disco, I presume.
Also still cut as rhos hay in mid and west Wales in September [Llandrindod Wells, Powys, September 1991].
