Rock samphire

1. Samphire (Crithmum maritimum) – this is not very succulent on the isles, but it is used – pickled, as a relish with meats [St Mary’s, Isles of Scilly, September 1992].

2. [Isles of Scilly] Crithmum maritimum – I have told that it was pickled in the past, but not recently [Woodnewton, Northamptonshire, June 1992].
