Since the announcement of her death early in the evening of Thursday 8 September 2022, there have been numerous, almost continuous, reports of people leaving flowers outside her various residences.  The photographs here were taken in London on Sunday 11 September, between 7.30 and 8.30 a.m.

Flowers outside railings of Buckingham Palace, these are removed each night and placed in Green Park, so there were few outside the Palace at c. 7.30 a.m., although a steady stream, later a queue, of people were arriving to add to the flowers already there.  The great majority of the flowers were shop-bought.
