Thursday 22 May: Herbal Heritage stroll on Tooting Common, starting at the Woodfield Pavilion, at 11 a.m.
Report: Only three people turned up for this short stroll during which we discussed the folklore and uses of some of the plants in the vicinity of the Pavilion.
Sunday 25 May: Plant survey of West Norwood Cemetery, 11 a.m. – c.12.30 p.m.
Report: Thanks to Amanda Tuke who ran this singlehandedly; Roy, having failed to check his diary, failed to turn up. She reports that it was a good session attended by 11 people, most of whom stayed on to coffee afterwards.
Both are free, no need to book, and all are welcome; for further details see the Events page on this website.
Image: greater plantain, Plantago major, a.k.a. white-man’s footsteps, one of the plants discussed on 22 May.
