Sir Thomas Kelly (1772-1855), Lord Mayor of London in 1837, is commemorated by an annual service held on the first Sunday in July at St Leonard’s Church, Chelsham, Surrey, his home village.
Before the service starts flowers are placed on his grave by a representative of the Worshipful Company of Plaisterers (on 6 July 2025, by the Master), and on the grave of his parents by a member of the congregation. After the sermon bread is distributed in accordance with his will.
For further information see post of 3 July 2023.
