1. As children in the 1950s we used to suck juice from [white] clover. This would have been on the Berkshire/Wiltshire border, near Shrivenham [Brockwell Park, London, October 2016].
2. [c.1965] I remember as a child sucking the base of white clover flowers to get the nectar. That was in New Zealand. You had to do a lot to get much result [Tooting Common, London, August 2011].
