Response:   I have a book Home Made Country Wines … tried and tested recipes collected by The Farmers Weekly, first published in 1955; mine is the 1973 revised edition.  This contains two recipes for blackberry wine, and two for bramble tip wine, all contributed by the compiler, Dorothy Wise [Sheila Gibbs, 24 December 2014].
