The Cambridge Botanic Garden held its annual Apple Day on Sunday 22 October 2023.  As it was a bright sunny day a great many people attended and enjoyed the event, waiting for up to 40 minutes to get into the ever popular apple tasting tent, where ‘over two dozen varities [were available] to try and buy’.  Unfavourable weather earlier in the year meant that not all of these varieties from East Anglian sources, and ‘so had to reach out as far as Kent’.

Also popular was the tent offering identification of apple varieties, and displaying local and other varieties.

Other attractions included apple crafts for children, food stalls, a market offering ‘lots of lovely things to buy’, live entertainment including morris dancing, and themed tours of the Gardens.
