The first Christmas tree article to be sighted this year reports that 300,000 trees will be sent to B&Q stores in 2012. It appears that these are already being harvested in Aberdeenshire. Demand for trees is expected to be high ‘as more people plan to spend the break at home’ [Metro, 9 November 2012].
