The Garlic Farm, near Newchurch on the Isle of Wight, held its first Garlic [Allium sativum] Festival in 1983.  Since then the Festival has grown to ‘become the largest summer show on the Island … loved by families from near and far’ and hosting ‘star chefs, musicians, local charities and businesses and much more’ [1].

The 2023 Festival which took place over the sunny weekend of 19 and 20 August attracted a huge number of people, who enjoyed a variety of food, examined numerous craft and other stalls, and arena events which included dog shows and ‘garlic games’ for children.
