Pumpkin-grower wanted

Having spent €200 (£171) on a seed from The Freak II, the first pumpkin (Cucurbita maxima) to weigh more than 2,000lb, the seed company Thompson & Morgan is seeking a grower to cultivate it. Ian and Stuart Paton, of Lymington, Hampshire, who currently hold the U.K. record with a 1,504lb pumpkin, are believed to be amongst those who in negotiation with the company [The Times, 12 February 2013].
