The aspidistra (Aspidistra elatior) was an indispensable house-plant in respectable Victorian homes, and some people still have plants which are descendants of plants cherished by their great-grandmothers.
However, there appears to be no folklore associated with this once popular plants. Does anyone know of any such lore?
