Sea kale stolen

2014-09-03 14.19.07According to the Metro of 30 June 2014, thieves are being caught driving away from coastal areas with ‘vast’ quantities of sea kale (Crambe maritima).  One suspect’s van was ‘piled high’ with 50kg of the plant, worth £4,000.  Endorsements by celebrity chiefs have ensured that sea kale is ‘an expensive delicacy at £18.50 a portion.  Three people have been arrested on Romney Marsh, Kent.
