St David’s Day, London 2023

Posted on by royvickery |

1 March 2023: Wandered from Charing Cross station, around Westminster, and on to Vauxhall and Stockwell, between c. 12 noon and 3 p.m.  Very few signs of any St David’s Day celebrations:  one toddler wearing traditional Welsh costume in Whitehall, and one woman wearing a daffodil outside the Tate Britain.  No wreath on the Cenotaph, but a few dead-looking daffodils placed at the foot of the Guards Memorial in St James’s Park.
