World records broken

According to the London Metro of 26 September 2011, Ian Neale, a 68-year-old retired farmer of Newport, Gwent, has broken two world records in a month. He has produced the world’s biggest celery (Apium graveolens), weighing 34.8kg (76lb) and heaviest swede (Brassica napa ssp. rapifera) at 38.9kg (85lb) and is waiting to find out if his 107cm (42.1in) long cucumber (Cucumis sativus) is also a record breaker.
