Another card in the Tuck’s Scottish Clans series, unused and undated, but the three other cards in the series on this website were all posted in 1907.

The caption on the reverse of the card reads:

The Macrae.  This clan is of considerable importance and antiquity, the members of which centre chiefly in the parish of Kintail. The clan fought for King James at the Battle of Killiecrankie until they were practically decimated.  A large number of them enrolled in the Seaforth Highlanders, formed in 1778, who did splendid in India.  Several old Highland bards were of this name.  Kintail village is situated on the banks of Loch Duich, one of the most beautiful lochs in Scotland. The badge of the clan is ”Club Moss” [Lycopodium clavatum, stag’s-horn clubmoss].
