Another, probably legendary, virgin martyr, St Eulalia is said to have been killed in c.304.  There may have been two St Eulalia, one ‘of Merida’ and the other ‘of Barcelona’, but their stories are very similar, and it’s thought that there was only one St Eulalia, that of Merida.
