St David’s Day, The Metropolitan Welsh Church, 2026

Posted on by royvickery |

Attended Morning Prayer at St Benet, ‘The Metropolitan Welsh Church’ in the City of London, said to be the least changed of all Christopher Wren’s City churches.  Only five people (all male) present, and, apart from a brief mention at the start of the lengthy sermon, no other mentions of St David.  No daffodils (Narcissus), leeks (Allium porrum), or other plant material decorating the church, possibly due to it being Lent.
