St Nicholas Parish of the Moldovan Orthodox Church held its Palm Sunday service at St Mary Aldermary in the City of London, on 5 April 2026.

The church which had palm leaves attached to its pillars was packed throughout the lengthy service.  Some members of the congregation brought their own small palm leaves, others bought budding twigs of willow (Salix) – a few brought both – and a few brought bunches of flowers.
