The Society of Mary held its May Devotion – ‘Solemn Pontifical Mass of Our Lady, the Queen of Apostles’ – at St Silas the Martyr [Anglican, ‘firmly with the Catholic tradition’] Church Kentish Town, London Borough of Camden, on Saturday 2 May, starting at 12 noon. After an elaborate and well attended service, a statue of Mary was paraded along the streets to Holy Trinity Church, a walk taking about 30 minutes. Lunch was available at Holy Trinity church hall, after which the Society of Mary, which celebrated the 95th anniversary of its foundation, held its AGM.
The celebrations finished at 4 p.m. with Solemn Vespers, Homily and Benediction at Holy Trinity.
