A new hill figure for Fovant Down?

Regimental badges were cut on the chalk hillside at Fovant Down, on Salisbury Plain, Wiltshire, by troops stationed nearby during the First and Second World Wars, the first being carved in 1916.  Now permission is being sought to create a new figure, a poppy, ‘to commemorate the men who were stationed there before going to war.’  [Western Daily Press, 29 November 2014].
