Burning the ashen faggot took place at the Squirrel Inn, Laymore, on the Dorset/Somerset border, on  Friday 6 January 2023. Live music was provided by Stiletto, ‘a great band’. According to the Inn’s facebook page this was the 49th time this had been done.

‘The actual burning time was 5 hours, 35 minutes and 41 seconds. Total raised for charity  was £252.’
