Easter in Harpenden

012014                                                                                                                                                                                        Visited Harpenden, Hertfordshire, on 8 April 2015 (three days after Easter).  A temporary cross on Church Green was decorated with small bunches of flowers which appear to have been placed there by individuals.  The upper part of the cross was covered with wire netting apparently placed there to help hold 024bunches of flowers in place.
On either side of the porch of the parish church of St Nicholas (which was locked) there were elaborate arrangements of flowers, not local spring flowers, but the sort of flowers which can be bought from florists all the year round.
