Labour’s red rose

The UK Labour Party adopted the red rose (Rosa¬†cv.) as its symbol in 1986, and continued to flaunt it until the Party failed to win the April 1992 general election.¬† Since then the Party’s use of its symbol has become less flamboyant, but red roses still appear, as on the sticker used by Labour Remainers, on the 20 October 2018 People’s Vote March for a new Brexit referendum.
