Card sent from Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire, to an address in Bristol, 4 November 1905.  As is sometimes the case, the plant  intended is not easily identifiable; it’s probably mimosa (Acacia dealbata):  ‘Acacia – Platonic Love’.

The message on the back refers to bonfire night festivities: ‘We are going to carry a torch tonight, all round our city.  The Anual [sic.] Bonfire starts at 7.30 …’
