Dress worn by Queen Mary, wife of King George V, at their coronation in Westminster Abbey, on 22 June 1911.  The embroidery depicts the ‘English rose, Scottish thistle, Irish shamrock, star of India, lotus [Nelumbo nucifera] of India and English oak leaves and acorns’.
