An earlier post on this blog showed opium poppy (Papaver somniferum) seed capsules which had been scored for the extraction of their latex in Brockwell Park, London Borough of Lambeth.   Similarly it appears that the gardeners at The Collector Earl’s Garden, Arundel Castle, West Sussex, fear that visitors will remove capsules to extract opium from them.
