(Oxeye) daisy used in love divination

Card posted 6 July 1906 from Brightlingsea to an address in Clacton-on-sea, both in Essex.

Showing  the flower of what is probably  an oxeye daisy, Leucanthemum vulgare, with its petals being pulled off while the rhyme                                  ‘He loves me,                             He loves me not,                           He loves me,                                 He loves me not!’                          is repeated.
