Among the quirky holdings of the Evesham, Worcestershire, Almonry Museum, are a peppercorn, Piper nigrum, and a nutmeg, Myristica fragrans, paid as rent to the Town Council in the late 1980s.

The peppercorn was paid by the Evesham Fiesta Committee to the Council on 16 July 1988, and the nutmeg paid by the Bengeworth Traders Association on 19 August 1989.
