Collecting the folklore and uses of plants

Plant-lore Archive – September 2023

Posted on by royvickery |

Although seven walks were held and one lecture given during September little material was collected; only three items from three contributors, bringing the totals to 9261 items of information from 3234 contributors.

23 posts were added to the website’s blog page.  Visits were paid to Trinity Square Gardens, London, for Merchant Navy Day; the Malvern Autumn Show, for the CANNA UK Giant Vegetables Championships, and to Douglas, Isle of Man, for the Annual Conference of the Society for Folk Life Studies, an enjoyable event, at which a talk on Enigmatic Elder was well received:  ‘A thoroughly interesting and typically relaxed and informal talk; thank you Roy’.
