Poppy Scotland raises funds to support former members of the British Armed services.  Before 11 November it sells poppies and has a field of poppies near the Scott Memorial in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh.  The image here, taken on 9 November 2015, shows a variety of symbols produced for planting in the field.  The symbols from left to right are the Muslim crescent, the Jewish star of David, the Christian cross, the symbol-free humanist, and the Sikh sword.
