On 15 May two walks each with 15 people were given  for members of the Wimbledon Garden Club, exploring Brompton Cemetery, with a sandwich lunch being provided in the Cemetery’s Chapel between the two.  After a spell of hot weather, the temperature had dropped and the skies turned grey overnight, but we were able to wander through the Cemetery and discuss the monuments and varied flora which it contains.  Being gardeners participants half hoped that it might rain and break the dry spell which has lasted for many weeks, but though not far away, the rain failed to arrive.
